Born and raised in Idaho, Amber Shing graduated from Boise State University with a BBA in Economics and a Master of Art in Education. While not using either of these degrees, she started taking classes in the art of jewely and metal clay. The organic and free-form style that is metal clay drew her to focus on this process. She is now a Rio Certified Instructor in metal clay and uses the art of fusing fine silver in her creations.
